	Unrelated incidents. A friend of a friend killed himself. An acquaintance from high school is extremely pregnant. I heard this from someone a long time ago: you don't begin to realize your own mortality until someone you grew up with dies. What of the opposite? When someone you grew up with is expecting a child of their own. The same, but of a different root.
